Clarification of Experts'Pay

Pay Scale for Experts and Institute Workers - Board of Directors, 17 December 2008.

1-Pay for Experts providing Work for Calls for Proposals

Pay for French experts or experts residing in France is:

• € 150 per day for presence at the Institute for participation in the review board
• € 75 per proposal reviewed
• Fixed rate of € 225 to evaluate multiple letters of intent, for calls for proposals featuring a preselection phase

 

Pay for foreign experts and non-residents is:

• € 300  per day for presence at the Institute for participation in the review board
• € 150  per proposal reviewed
• Fixed rate of € 225  to evaluate multiple letters of intent, for calls for proposals featuring a preselection phase

2-Pay for Work, Reports ans Studies by Experts for a specific one-off Activity

This refers to evaluation activities other than for calls for proposals

• Fixed rate of € 225 for evaluation work on a document of 80 pages or more, submitted to INCa
• Fixed rate of € 75 for evaluation work on a document of 10 to 80 pages, submitted to INCa

This pay scale is applicable to both French and foreign experts

3-Pay for Members of Advisory Bodies and Work Groups:

Members of advisory bodies are not eligible for remuneration. However, it has been proposed to compensate:

• foreign members and foreign residents for their participation in meetings in order to compensate for involvement and work outside the customary scope of these experts'public service duties;
• French members of advisory boards, professionally active in the private sector, whether exclusively or in part, for loss of income during participation in the meeting

Pay for foreign members is as follows:
• € 300 per day for presence at the Institute
The following pay scale is applicable for members who provide medical services:
• 15 times the official rate for category C
The following pay scale is applicable for members who provide paramedical services:
• 70 times the official rate for category AMI

In exceptional cases, the chairperson may decide to remunerate members of work groups in a manner not provided for, above, for their participation in meetings:
