Support for Innovative and Costly Techniques (STIC)

Last updated on:  06/20/2011

The ‘Support for Innovative and Costly Techniques’ programme was implemented by the Ministry of Health in 2000 to facilitate the dissemination of innovative care. It gives rise to an annual call for proposals and is exclusively concerned with (non-drug) innovations validated by an earlier clinical research phase and which may have an significant impact on the healthcare system and for patients. Since 2005, INCa has been managing the oncological component of STIC in conjunction with DHOS (known as the DGOS since March 2010).
