Early detection of skin cancer - Melanoma

Skin cancers can be detected early with a visual examination of all of the skin, typically performed by a dermatologist. This early detection is key, particularly for the most serious of these cancers, melanoma, whose incidence (number of new cases) has seen a sharp rise over the past two decades.

Since 1998, the dermatologists' union (SNDV) has been organising a free, anonymous national screening day for these cancers. This screening day, funded by INCa, will be held on 19 May this year.
